This is your chance to expand your skills and acquire new tools to create real and meaningful impact.
We are looking for passionate and caring leaders who are interested in harnessing the power of design thinking and creativity to enhance their leadership skills. Participants will learn how to adopt and utilize new methodologies, skills and mindsets to deliver Dubai's strategic missions.
“We need to see them amongst students and teachers; in the markets among traders and investors. We want to hear they are among farmers and at the ports of fishermen, with widows and mothers, senior citizens and with patients, in hospitals and among doctors and staff ”
“ We want to see them there and hear them from there, not in conference rooms or forums that have increased and consumed resources and energies. We are a government of achievements, not a government of lectures. We are a team of accomplishers not a team of preachers.”
Adopt a design-led approach based on understanding and meeting the needs of the community, accountability, taking the lead to overcome challenges and fostering effective leaders to drive change.
Adopt innovative models and solutions, anticipate individual needs, identify trends, and serve with empathy. Achieve this by prioritizing community, fostering dialogue between decision makers and the community, and transforming ideas into opportunities.
Encourage partnerships and communication within government to unite leadership and public entities, aiming for common goals and the exchange of ideas. Boost efficiency and effectiveness in government projects, fostering a supportive environment for strong relationships.
“We usually experienced the design process on paper, but we never went to the field, we didn’t ask questions, we didn’t prototype. This was new and different.”
“I learned the power of asking the right questions. We tend to build our questions based on answers we have in mind. But we can form our questions in such a way that it opens up a spectrum for allowing a lot more in the discovery process.”
“It was also an inner journey where we found creativity, our unique voice, and leadership style. When I go back home and to my workplace, I will take these tools with me. It feels like from now on I can design anything.”
